LG Energy Solution boosts Tesla battery supply

LG Energy Solution is expanding cylindrical battery cell production at its Nanjing, China plant to meet rising Tesla orders. Two new production lines will start in the second half of this year, each with roughly 2 GWh annual capacity. The plant supplies Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory, which sold nearly 379,000 EVs in the first five months of the year.
