Origin Energy Data Breach Exposes Customer Data

Australian energy retailer Origin Energy confirmed a data breach exposing customer personally identifiable information, including the last four digits of credit cards and last three digits of bank accounts. The company has 4.8 million customers and is investigating the incident. A threat actor claiming to hold data for 2 million customers threatened to leak it unless Origin negotiates.
