Canadian workers have few defences against workplace surveillance

Toronto-Dominion Bank plans to deploy WorkiQ software to monitor employees in financial-crimes and risk-management functions. Canadian law gives workers little leverage to refuse such surveillance. TD initially planned to collect keystrokes and mouse movements for AI training but scaled that back after staff pushback.
