TSMC plans 1nm chips and 12 new fabs

TSMC is planning 1nm process development and building up to 12 new wafer fabs for nodes from 2nm to 1.4nm. The first batch of 2nm chips enters production later this year. Full commercialization of 1nm faces significant time and infrastructure constraints.
