Airtel, TRAI Push Cross-Sector Signal Sharing to Fight Fraud

Airtel and India's TRAI are advocating for cross-platform and cross-sector sharing of AI-powered fraud signals to combat spam and scams. They argue fraud now spans telecom, digital platforms, and banking, requiring a shared ecosystem approach. TRAI has formed a Joint Committee of Regulators (JoCR) with DoT, MeitY, RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI to evolve intelligence-sharing processes.
