Disgaea creator slams Sony's physical media exit

Sony announced on July 1 its intent to stop producing and selling physical game media. Disgaea creator Sohei Niikawa told Noisy Pixel at Anime Expo 2026 that if Sony eliminates physical packages, it should also eliminate the hardware, as a television would be enough. Sony has not reversed the decision.
