IBM acquires HRL Laboratories for quantum push

IBM agreed to acquire HRL Laboratories, jointly owned by Boeing and General Motors, on July 23. HRL published a Nature paper showing a silicon quantum processor that runs error correction autonomously at 4 kelvin, with control errors ten times lower than previous demonstrations.
