Russian hackers are targeting Ukrainian military and government smartphones for espionage and financial theft, Ukraine's SSSCIP reports. Attackers use the DarkSword exploit kit to silently infect iPhones via compromised news and government websites, stealing credentials, messages and contacts. Android malware CamelSpy and BTMOB spread through fake army, air raid and fuel discount sites. CERT-UA recorded 3,137 cyber incidents in the first half of 2026, up 8 percent.
