European regulators removed barriers to bidirectional EV charging, which lets EV batteries send electricity back to homes and grids. Automakers VW, BMW, and BYD race to equip vehicles with the hardware. Strategy&, a PwC unit, estimates the technology could be worth billions by 2035.
