Airtel Urges TRAI to Separate 5G Slicing Rules

Airtel told TRAI that 5G network slicing is a distinct architectural capability, not ordinary quality-of-service differentiation, and should be regulated separately. In September 15 counter-comments, it opposed a proposed 21-day advance notice for new slices, warning this would hinder enterprise and emergency deployments. Airtel cited US and UK monitoring approaches, urging post-deployment reporting instead of ex-ante approval.
