Firmware security firm Binarly discovered six vulnerabilities in the U-Boot bootloader's FIT signature verification code. Two flaws allow arbitrary code execution during boot, before the operating system loads. Four others can crash devices. The vulnerable code has existed since version 2013.07, affecting over 50 releases. Patches have been accepted upstream.
