Waymo Ends Uber Robotaxi Partnership

Waymo plans to end its exclusive Uber robotaxi partnership in Austin and Atlanta in January 2028, allowing customers to hail vehicles directly through the Waymo app. Co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana described the current arrangement as a crapshoot where riders are not guaranteed a Waymo vehicle.
