Shopify launches AI store builder Canvas

Shopify introduced Canvas on Thursday, a tool that lets merchants build their online store by chatting with its AI agent Sidekick. Canvas renders the store's real code in real time, so merchants can test interactivity and see pages across screen sizes. It joins AI site builders from Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and Framer, aiming to make selling online accessible without developers.
