Anthropic Ships Its Strongest Model Then Rations Access

Anthropic made Claude Fable 5 generally available on June 9 at twice the standard rate of its prior flagship, with free access on paid subscriptions ending June 23. The model includes classifiers that route cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, and distillation queries to Claude Opus 4.8. Stripe reported the model completed a 50-million-line Ruby migration in a day.
