Claude Fable 5 routes biology queries to weaker model

Anthropic released Claude Fable 5, its most capable public AI model, priced at $10 per million input tokens. The model routes biology, chemistry, cybersecurity, and model distillation queries to the weaker Claude Opus 4.8 when classifiers trigger. Anthropic admitted the biology classifier is overly broad and plans to narrow it.
