Disney hires majority of Character.AI staff

Disney agreed to hire at least 60 Character.AI employees, paying them an estimated $60 million in annual compensation. This deal follows the startup's bankruptcy and Disney's prior $20 million asset acquisition. Most offered workers accepted the jobs, though a stalking horse bid remains possible.
