China takes the supercomputer crown without US chips

China's LineShine supercomputer in Shenzhen topped the TOP500 list at 2.198 exaflops, over 20% faster than the US El Capitan. Built entirely without Nvidia, AMD, or Intel chips, it uses custom Armv9 processors and KylinOS. The machine packs nearly 14 million cores across 90 cabinets.
