AbbVie's $11 Billion Immunology Bet

AbbVie is acquiring Apogee Therapeutics for $10.9 billion in cash to strengthen its immunology drug pipeline. Apogee's lead drug, zumilokibart, showed two-thirds of atopic dermatitis patients achieved clearer skin in phase 2 trials. The deal represents a 49% premium over Apogee's pre-announcement stock price.
