Nagy Krisztián built three digital counter designs on breadboards with 7-segment LED displays. The first uses CD4026B decade counter ICs. The second uses an AT28C64B EEPROM as a lookup table. The third uses an ATtiny24A microcontroller and has the smallest footprint. The project shows complexity shifting from hardware to software.
