A Mirai-derived botnet called Tengu uses a Linux device's hardware watchdog to trigger a reboot when defenders kill its main process. Nozomi Networks Labs observed the dropper via Telnet brute force. Tengu supports 25 DDoS methods and runs a SOCKS5 proxy.
