A custom Zigbee touch keypad was built using an ESP32-C6 microcontroller and an MPR121 capacitive touch controller. The device runs on a 1300 mAh lithium-polymer cell with a six-month battery life. It avoids cloud dependency and uses PCB-printed number labels.
