UK government to cut EV sales targets to 50%

The UK government plans to reduce the ZEV mandate target from 80% to 50% EV sales by 2030. Car industry bosses welcomed the move, citing lagging consumer demand and billions spent on discounts to avoid fines. EVs accounted for just 23.9% of registrations so far this year.
