Posco launched a project with Hyundai Motor and other partners to develop high-silicon electrical steel with 6.5 percent silicon content for more efficient electric motors. The consortium, funded by South Korea's MOTIE and coordinated by KEIT, will test the material in near-series electric powertrains.
