An officer with the Lake County, Indiana, Sheriff's Department used Flock Safety's automated licence plate reader network in July 2025 to search across more than 19,000 cameras in 1,558 cities. The stated reason for the search was 'LMAO'. The Electronic Frontier Foundation identified this and dozens of other unserious search reasons in Flock's logs.
