SK Hynix will spend 80 trillion won ($51.46 billion) building a new NAND flash memory factory called M17 in Cheongju, South Korea, with production targeted for the first half of 2029. CEO Kwak Noh-jung announced the plan at an event attended by President Lee Jae Myung. A separate advanced packaging plant brings total spending to 100 trillion won ($64 billion).
