Ford app blocks engine starts to thwart theft

Ford's Security Package adds a start-inhibit feature that prevents a vehicle's engine from starting, even with an authorized key fob inside the cabin. The feature is controlled through an app, giving owners remote control to disable the engine and make the vehicle tougher to steal.
