Texas Nears California in New Car Sales

Texas is on track to add roughly 197,000 new car sales this year while California loses about 158,000. Pickup trucks account for 27 percent of Texas sales versus 17 percent in California. Texas leads the US in consumer spending on new vehicles at 10.7 percent of the national total.
