India's power ministry projects AI data centres will consume 26.3 GW by FY32, nearly double the March estimate of 13.56 GW. Minister Shripad Naik stated the load will be served primarily by renewable energy. Peak electricity demand is expected to exceed 388 GW by March 2032.
