Anthropic watermarks all Claude output

Anthropic began watermarking Claude output on 2 August, worldwide. The mark signals processing by Claude, not authorship, and appears even on proofread or summarized text. The EU AI Act exempts assistive editing, yet Anthropic marks it anyway. Detection API is planned, with fines up to €15m or 3% of turnover.
