Server BMC flaws expose thousands to hardware takeover

Thousands of enterprise server motherboards are vulnerable to baseboard management controller flaws. BMCs, small computers with their own firmware and network stack, let attackers gain hardware-level control. Administrators use BMCs to reboot machines and monitor hardware even when servers are off.
