SanDisk is sampling its BiCS10 3D NAND flash chip, built with Kioxia. The 1Tb TLC chip packs 332 layers and achieves 29Gb per square millimeter bit density, a 59% improvement over BiCS8. Interface speeds reach 4.8Gb/s. The chip could enable 512TB SSDs by 2027, with prices likely above $300,000.
