Binance bought $100 million of Circle Class A shares, 1.24 million at $80.84 each, in a private placement that closed Sept. 17. The purchase accompanies a five-year USDC partnership in which Circle pays Binance monthly incentives tied to stablecoin holdings, while Binance promotes USDC. Binance cannot sell or hedge the shares for up to two years but retains voting rights.
