Honda and Nissan to share car software from 2029

Honda and Nissan signed a joint development agreement covering electronic control units, an in-vehicle operating system, middleware, and vehicle control software, with first cars arriving from fiscal 2029. The deal follows their failed merger talks in February 2025 and aims to cut costs and speed development.
