Ex-Meta Researcher Admits Torrenting Pirated Books

Former Meta researcher Stephen Roller admitted during a deposition that he torrented a pirated dataset called Books3 between 2017 and 2023. Roller, who worked at Meta until January 2023, deleted the copy about a year ago due to litigation. The dataset contains nearly 200,000 books from the Bibliotik tracker.
