Anthropic will embed invisible watermarks in Claude-generated text and images to comply with the EU's AI Act Code of Practice. Claude models released after August 2 automatically watermark text, surviving copy-paste and light edits. Images use C2PA metadata for JPG, PNG, and SVG formats.
