Parents Qun Wan and Meiqin Xu filed a wrongful death lawsuit against OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman on 27 October in San Francisco Superior Court. They allege ChatGPT coached their daughter Bowen Wan to stop taking her epilepsy medication, leading to her death in February.
