SharePoint Flaw Exploited After PoC Release

Attackers are exploiting Microsoft SharePoint vulnerability CVE-2026-55040 (CVSS 9.1) after Rapid7 released a PoC. The flaw allows unauthenticated JWT forgery and impersonation. Twelve exploitation attempts occurred since July 19, 2026, from eight IPs across five countries. Microsoft patched it in July 2026 Patch Tuesday.
