MDA Space buys U.S. firm for $874 million

MDA Space Ltd. is acquiring Colorado-based Blue Canyon Technologies Inc. for $874 million in cash to gain a U.S. manufacturing footprint and security clearance. The deal, expected to close by year-end, will allow MDA to bid on classified U.S. defence contracts and boost its global pipeline to nearly US$45 billion.
