Loganair agreed to purchase five BETA Technologies ALIA CX300 electric aircraft, with an option for five more. The planes completed 23 test flights averaging 56 miles at 99 knots. Loganair expects an 80% reduction in operating costs. Commercial passenger and cargo flights are planned from 2029.
