Flow Depression Headset Now Available in US

Swedish firm Flow Neuroscience has made its at-home wearable for depression treatment available by prescription in the US. The headset, worn on the forehead for 30 minutes daily, delivers low-intensity electrical stimulation to the left frontal lobe. It received FDA approval last December. The device costs $2,200 for the initial 10-week period, followed by a $325 monthly fee, and is not yet covered by insurance.
