Wired purchased four injectable peptide vials for $376.20 from a Brooklyn bodega and sent them to Finnrick, an Austin-based testing startup. Lab results in August showed the vials contained no active ingredients like BPC-157 or retatrutide. The samples were either mislabeled or degraded, though they had low levels of heavy metals. The findings highlight risks in the unregulated peptide market.
