Google ends Fitbit app loophole by July 2026

Google notified Fitbit users that app versions older than 5.0 on Android and iOS will lose support on July 15, 2026. This deadline closes a workaround where users sideloaded older 4.x builds to avoid the mandatory Google Health update. After that date, older apps will stop working with Google's servers.
