OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Sol and Luna Models

OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol and Luna, cheaper models extending its GPT-6 generation, at half the API cost of the 5.6 series. Sol makes about half as many mistakes as its predecessor, reaching Astra-level reliability. Both are available in ChatGPT Work, Codex and the API, with Luna also on desktop and for Free and Go users. Anthropic released Opus 5.5 just 90 minutes earlier.
