OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Sol and Luna

OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol and Luna on Tuesday, halving API prices to $2 and $10 per million tokens for Sol and $0.10 and $0.50 for Luna. Both are live in ChatGPT Work and Codex for paid subscribers, with Luna also reaching free and Go users. Anthropic launched Claude Opus 5.5 about 90 minutes earlier, intensifying a price war.
