Massive breach spills credentials for thousands of sensitive networks

Russian-speaking attackers compromised nearly 74,000 Fortinet devices from 21,000 IP addresses across 194 countries, exposing plaintext credentials for organizations including Oracle, Chevron, and Lenovo. The attackers accessed centralized authentication systems like Active Directory. Roughly half of all Internet-facing Fortinet firewalls were breached.
