Attackers exploited a Coldcard bug to steal up to 2,055 BTC (~$130 million), the largest hardware wallet exploit. Trezor and SafePal also suffered attacks. The Coldcard issue stemmed from a 2021 software change causing weak randomness in seed generation. Users who generated seeds between 2021 and 2026 should withdraw funds.
