Researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology built the Sashimi-Bot, a three-armed robot that prepares sashimi from a raw salmon loin. It uses deep reinforcement learning and a tactile sensor to handle delicate, irregular materials. In testing, it cut 34 slices and grasped 26 of 28 fallen slices with chopsticks.
