Pluto's heart-shaped glacier, Sputnik Planitia, may be leaking liquid nitrogen onto its surface, new research suggests. Dark streaks along the heart's rim are likely stains from liquid nitrogen that seeped through cracks and refroze. The findings appear in The Planetary Science Journal.
