Audi unveiled the Nuvolari supercar, a successor to the R8, with production limited to 499 units. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner hinted at an even rarer Nuvolari Spyder variant. The Nuvolari features a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a mid-mounted twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine and three axial flux motors. It accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds and reaches a top speed over 217 mph. Deliveries are scheduled to begin next year.
