US Seeks to Join Musk's Challenge to EU Fine

The US Justice Department asked the EU General Court on Thursday to let it join Elon Musk and X in challenging a €120 million fine imposed on 5 December 2025 under the Digital Services Act. The fine, the first under the DSA, covers transparency failures in X's blue checkmark, ad database and researcher data access. The court must now decide whether to admit the US.
